Great opportunity to work on large-scale distributed systems and high-impact engineering problems. Strong exposure to modern technologies including Kafka, Kubernetes, ML infrastructure, experimentation platforms, and cloud-native systems. Teams are generally collaborative, and engineers get ownership of projects that directly influence millions of users and large-scale business metrics. There are many opportunities to grow technically through cross-functional projects, backend platform development, advertising systems, and data engineering initiatives. The scale of systems and data at Walmart provides excellent learning opportunities for engineers interested in distributed systems, machine learning infrastructure, and real-time platforms. Leadership is supportive of innovation, and engineers are encouraged to propose improvements, optimize systems, and drive measurable impact across products and internal platforms.
Like many large organizations, processes and decision-making can sometimes move slowly due to multiple layers of approvals and cross-team dependencies. Priorities may shift frequently based on business needs, which can occasionally affect long-term project continuity. Some teams may experience organizational restructuring or changing roadmaps, making it important to stay adaptable. Career growth and visibility can vary depending on the team and manager, so proactive communication and ownership are important for advancement.

Big events, networking, training across many business engagements. Diversity and multiculturalism.
Lower Salary, Loak of promotion and career growth opportunities

Great teammates, working with newer tech like tanstack, react, typescript
lots of politics, company acts like they amazon...

- Excellent PTO - Good WLB - Great people - Modern tech stack - Interesting projects - Embracing AI-tooling
- Pay is strong but not top of market

1Password is in a build moment that feels electric. The company is pulling the right pieces together investing in products, leadership, and people so teams have clarity and support to do great work. The pace has picked up and the bar is higher. That brings some bumps but the direction is clear and the momentum is real. If you love learning fast, collaborating with kind experts, and seeing your work matter, you will thrive here. Come help write the next chapter.
A hyper fast and evolving environment where priorities move quickly, so it’s best suited for people who can and are willing to make an impact to help take us to the next level.

some of the pros working here honestly really came down to my teammates, teammates made it possilbe for alot of people staying here. Technologies used is pretty great, up to date on things like tanstack, react, python
honesttly, just like everywhere there corperate poitics, however you're def more involved. Lots of favoitsim, you can be the best in the company and just because they like someone else you will get looked down upon

- People - Team
- Politics - Pay

- money - benefits
- could get laid off

Unrivaled technical talent. You are surrounded by people who wrote the books you learned from. Operational rigor is second to none.
The internal tooling is so specialized it can be hard to map back to industry standards if you leave. Fast pace can be draining.
